喜欢名牌儿，穿戴名牌儿，那是年轻人心里想的事。老爸虽然不再年轻，但他也喜欢穿名牌儿。一双阿迪达斯、耐克运动鞋，动辄就要几百、上千的价格。可年轻人不怕，只要喜欢，就一定慷慨解囊。穿上名牌儿，心里自然舒服，还会多几分自信。
已经退休的老爸，穿着名牌儿，确实也很自信。打太极的时候，那双阿迪踩在脚下，脚底稳稳地，就像生了根，刮上八级大风，也休想让他动摇。“背靠背”的运动衣，是老爸练太极最爱穿的运动装，尽管那衣服上的图标，显得有些浪漫情调，但他才不怕呢，真像人们说的一样，是人老心不老。
只有身着那套“背靠背”宽松舒适的运动装，老爸在打太极的时候，才会显出连绵不断，轻柔随意的身姿来。他在年轻人的眼里，既像大叔，又像一个精神焕发的老大哥。他除了打太极的优雅身姿，那一身抢眼的名牌儿着装，也是人们眼中的又一靓点。
郊区自驾游，是老爸的一大乐趣。前几天，他亲自驾车，组织了几位离退休的老同事，去京北怀柔山区的“水长城”旅游。因为老爸常往山里跑，山区哪里的景致最美，他简直就是了如指掌。这一路上，他既是司机，又是导游。他经过的路途，满眼是山桃花的氤氲，满车笼着山桃花的馨香。
老爸是上世纪五十年代走过来的人，他内心里最懂得节俭。临出门的时候，他又亲自烙了两张大糖饼，和妈妈两个人每人一张，再带上两条黄瓜，外加几瓶矿泉水，这就是老两口儿进山旅游的全部午餐食材。
午餐的时候，同事老张抬起锃亮的光头，一脸疑惑的目光看着老爸，两眼分明在说：“您老人家开奥迪，穿名牌儿，咋就这伙食?”
老爸才不怕呢，举着大糖饼，笑呵呵一脸成就感地说，“看咱的手艺，麻酱糖饼，又香又甜!”他兴冲冲地咬一口糖饼，咀嚼着满口的香甜。吃了一口糖饼，他又扬起浓重的眉毛，把目光投放在大家的脸上，亮着嗓门儿，唱起高调儿，“咱的午餐简单、省事儿，安全、吃着也放心!”说完，又咬上一口脆嫩的黄瓜。大家手里拿着火腿、香肠，两眼直勾勾地望着他，被他的一张大糖饼，和一条黄瓜馋得心里直发痒。
勤快、节俭是老爸的标签。老爸喜欢做菜，一手的好厨艺。其实那好厨艺，也全是妈妈多年夸出来的。爸爸是越夸越好，妈妈是越好越夸，结果是爸爸的厨艺越来越好。谁都喜欢吃老爸烹炒的美味儿，逢年过节，总是老爸掌勺。他在烹调的时候，怕把名牌儿衣服弄脏，就会穿上长长的白围裙，一副小心翼翼地样子。
在烹饪的时候，谁都会出现失误，老爸也不例外。有时老爸把菜烧糊了一点儿，妈妈把饭做软了一些，我们就会吃得少，甚至不爱吃。这时的老爸决不会把它轻易倒掉，而是自己一个人悄悄地躲在厨房里吃。他恐怕一不留神，我们就把它倒进垃圾桶，随意地糟踏了。
春节前，我们买了一箱苹果和一箱沙糖桔。那箱沙糖桔非常好吃，结果几天光景，就被大家吃光了。但苹果就没有想像得那么好吃，尽管颜色很漂亮。老爸不言不语，一个人坚持每天吃。我们说不好吃就扔掉吧，他却满脸笑意，自解心宽儿地说，“不太甜的苹果也许更好，吃着踏实，一定是人家果农没往苹果上喷洒甜蜜素。”
渐渐地，我发现了老爸的一个密秘：凡是我们不爱吃的东西，他竟然都爱吃。
记得每到冬天，吃大白菜的时候，我们会去掉许多菜叶、菜帮儿，虽说叶子也很鲜绿，但还是没有里面包裹的白嫩部分甜脆好吃。这样，我就常常会把菜帮儿、菜叶扔掉。
春天的时候，妈妈给我们做了一次大馅儿包子。我吃了两个之后，觉得味道极好，但不知道里面是什么馅儿料，便去问妈妈。
妈妈笑眯眯地说，“那就是你在冬天扔掉的白菜帮儿，是你爸捡起来放在阴凉处风干，然后再用开水烫软，经过多次泡洗，最后剁碎做成馅儿料的。”我听了妈妈的话，感到有些惊讶，一种莫名的感动悄然涌上心头。原来，生活里的那些美好的东西，都是靠老爸这种勤劳节俭的人来发现，来获取的。
老爸过六十六大寿的时候，我们定了一个比较高档的餐厅，准备全家好好地为老爸庆贺一下。可老爸得知消息之后，去餐厅一打听，光一桌宴席，要花掉六千六百六十六元钱。老爸惊愕地站在前厅经理面前，“六千……”你没搞错吧?
“不会错的。”她莞尔一笑，打量着老爸身着的一身名牌儿，那神态似乎在说，您是不是还想要价位再高一点的?
“退了吧!”老爸失去了以往的犹豫，非常坚决地说。
“如果您不满意，还有价位更高一点的，八千八百八十八”她极温和，又真诚地说。老爸听过她的话，像从湍急的河流又掉进了汹涌的苦海。
“一定退掉!”老爸紧蹙眉头，更坚定地说。
订好的餐厅，愣是让老爸退掉了。他决定开车自己采购，自己筹办。老爸走进超市，精心选购，花费了不到一千元，在自家厨房和妈妈一起，做出了一桌丰盛的大餐。他说，“家里吃得实惠、干净，还方便，何必要乱花钱到外面去呢?”他舍不得花钱，更舍不得为自己乱花钱。
退休以后，本该是快乐地享受生活，可老爸总是没完没了地忙碌于杂七杂八的事。活了六十多岁，还没坐过一次飞机，没看过一次大海，没见过一回草原。还不如我们的孩子，学龄前就已经去过香港、日本、澳大利亚、马尔代夫。当我想带老爸出国旅游时，他又总会找各种借口百般推脱。唉，他们那代人啊，真是不会享受甚至不敢享受生活，像牛一样拉一辈子车，就知道拼命地付出。
老爸的那身名牌装束，让很多人弄不明白究竟是为什么。有的老同事开玩笑地对他说，“你的一双阿迪达斯，比我身上穿的全套衣服还贵。整天舍不得吃，舍不得喝，真搞不懂你为什么那么看重名牌儿。”这时，老爸只是微微一笑，不再言语，任别人随意去说。
爱干净，注重外表形像，也是老爸的一大特征。他每天要对着镜子洗脸刮胡子，梳理那一头花白而稀疏的头发。妈妈有时会不耐烦地说，“瞧你这糟老头子，比年轻的时候还爱打扮。”
年轻时的老爸，为养家糊口，根本就没时间，也没心思打扮。
老爸听着妈妈的唠叨，只是眯眯地笑，待刮完胡子了，就会冲妈妈温和地说，“你愿意自己的老头儿像流浪汉?脏兮兮的胡子，乱蓬蓬的头发?”他在像给妈妈上课，“出门就得把自己整理得干干净净，利利落落。别人看你舒服，自己也会感到自信，尊重别人就是尊重自己嘛。”说完，还会用毛刷把名牌儿鞋上的灰尘认真地刷掉，然后，再穿上有着浪漫情调，欧罗巴风情的“背靠背”运动衣，极有信心地到公园，轻轻松松地和他的老年朋友们打太极去了。
老爸朋友圈儿的人总说他是“怪人”。他不吸烟，不喝酒，不打麻将，就是爱穿名牌儿，爱开他的奥迪车去游山玩水。他每次从山里回来，顺便还会把山里清澈、甘冽的山泉水拉回城里，回家惬意地泡茶，慢慢地品味它。老爸爱喝茶，爱品茶，也在品味着人生。
其实，老爸开的那辆奥迪车，是我们前几年想置换新车，而淘汰下来的旧车。老爸说置换抵不了几个钱，置换太可惜了，于是他就留下来继续自己开。
至于老爸穿的“背靠背”、阿迪、耐克等运动衣和运动鞋，也都是我和弟弟不愿再穿，随意放入楼下的垃圾桶里，又被老爸捡回来的。

圣诞节的来历
Christmas is a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. No one knows the exact date of Christ’s birth, but most Christians observe Christmas on December 25. On this day, many go to church, where they take part in special religious services. During the Christmas season, they also exchange gifts and decorate their homes with holly, mistletoe, and Christmas trees. The word Christmas comes from Cristes maesse, an early English phrase that means Mass of Christ.
The story of Christmas comes chiefly from the Gospels of Saint Luke and Saint Matthew in the New Testament.
The history of Christmas dates back over 4000 years. Many of our Christmas traditions were celebrated centuries before the Christ child was born. The 12 days of Christmas, the bright fires, the yule log, the giving of gifts, carnivals(parades) with floats, carolers who sing while going from house to house, the holiday feasts, and the church processions can all be traced back to the early Mesopotamians.
Many of these traditions began with the Mesopotamian celebration of New Years. The Mesopotamians believed in many gods, and as their chief god-Marduk. Each year as winter arrived it was believed that Marduk would do battle with the monsters of chaos. To assist Marduk in his struggle the Mesopotamians held a festival for the New Year. This was Zagmuk, the
New Year’s festival that lasted for 12 days.
The Persians and the Babylonians celebrated a similar festival called the Sacaea. Part of that celebration included the exchanging of places, the slaves would become the masters and the masters were to obey. The ancient Greeks held a festival similar to that of the Zagmuk/Sacaea festivals to assist their god Kronos who would battle the god Zeus and his Titans.
The Roman’s celebrated their god Saturn. Their festival was called Saturnalia which began the middle of December and ended January 1st. With cries of “Jo Saturnalia!” the celebration would include masquerades in the streets, big festive meals, visiting friends, and the exchange of good-luck gifts called Strenae (lucky fruits). The Romans decked their halls with garlands of laurel and green trees lit with candles. Again the masters and slaves would exchange places.
”Jo Saturnalia!” was a fun and festive time for the Romans, but the Christians thought it an abomination to honor the pagan god. The early Christians wanted to keep the birthday of their Christ child a solemn and religious holiday, not one of cheer and merriment as was the pagan Saturnalia.
Some legends claim that the Christian “Christmas” celebration was invented to compete against the pagan celebrations of December. The 25th was not only sacred to the Romans but also the Persians whose religion Mithraism was one of Christianity’s main rivals at that time. The Church eventually was successful in taking the merriment, lights, and gifts from the Saturanilia festival and bringing them to the celebration of Christmas.
The exact day of the Christ child’s birth has never been pinpointed. Traditions
say that it has been celebrated since the year 98 AD. In 137 AD the Bishop of Rome ordered the birthday of the Christ Child celebrated as a solemn feast. In 350 AD another Bishop of Rome, Julius I, choose December 25th as the observance of Christmas.
The birth of Jesus had a story: In Nazareth, a city of Galilee. The virgin’s name was Mary was betrothed to Joseph. Before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Joseph her husband was minded to put her away secretly. While he thought about these things, Gabriel, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and told him did not be afraid to take Mary as wife. And Mary will bring forth a Son, and he shall call his name, Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
Before Jesus births, Joseph and Mary came to Quirnius was governing
Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up out of Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and of the lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
And that, Christmas is the feast of the nativity of Jesus, is on 25th, December every year. But nobody knows the actual birthday of Jesus. And the Christmas has become popular when Christmas cards appeared in 1846 and the concept of a jolly Santa Claus was first made popular in nineteenth Century.
