来信颇多，不便列举。我这几篇“豆腐块”拙作，既无文采，也无独到之处，理论水平也不高，却能引来大型文集编委的青睐，这倒真让我怀疑起这些“大型文集”、“大型文库”的质量和漫天散发入选通知书和邀请函的真正动机。为了赚钱，千方百计巧立名目，密谋策划；要猎取对象的各类信息；要印彩版广告、制作奖杯、证书和许多牛皮信封；还要请几个“德高望重”的重量级人物压阵，可谓殚精竭虑。我知道编委会的困难和处境，现在编书、销书不容易，销路是根本性问题，我很赞赏这种以销定产的做法。我虽在机关工作，但无职无权，自己掏钱去出文集、去索取获奖证书、去参加旅游式的学术研讨会、去受聘客座教授乃至院士，实在无法承受。即使我有职有权，也不能以权谋私，用公款去为自己出文集、去旅游、去当客座教授和院士呀！

编辑出版大型文集，是一项系统工程，是一桩流芳千古的大好事，但不能以获奖、入选、举办研讨会、聘请客座教授和院士为诱饵，索取钱财，搞歪门邪道，这种做法本身就有损于大型文集的形象。况且，编委会专门收集刊物上已发表的文章，窃取别人的果实，也严重违反了《著作权法》。尤为严重的是，编委会和评选委员会钻党政机关腐败的空子，投其所好，抓住了一些领导干部公款出书、公款旅游、公款索要头衔的腐败弱点，迎合了一些思想不纯、作风不正、品行恶劣的官员心理、欲望需求，助长了学术腐败、干部以权谋私、奢侈浪费腐败等不正之风盛行。一些领导干部文化水平低，文字功底浅，让秘书写几篇文章，通过各种方式发表，给自己装点门面，而此类文集汇编往往冠以“中国科技理论成果”、“当代中国领导参考文库”、“共和国骄子编辑委员会”、“当代改革”、“世纪新思维”、“大型文集”、“世界华人名人大辞典”等鲜艳夺目的字眼，被此类文集入选，可以当世界华人名人，既脸上有光，又增添了升迁筹码和炫耀资本。研讨会邀请函几乎无一例外地注明交流考察路线，或国内或国外，重点介绍途径的著名旅游景点，这样，公款旅游也就“官出有名”，名正言顺了。邀请函最大的共同点是要缴纳所谓的“公务费用”，数额较高，同时承诺给予与会者颁发奖杯和一定数额的奖金。“羊毛出在牛身上”，一心想出名的领导干部利用手中的权力，慷国家之慨，不仅可以吃喝玩乐，而且有利可图，何乐而不为！

获奖、入选通知书和邀请函满天飞，是学术界、出版界的腐败。公款出书，以参加研讨会为名出省出境，公款旅游，浪费了大量财力，折射党政机关领导干部的腐败，是学风不正、党风不正、以权谋私、损公肥私的表现。由于手段隐蔽、方法巧妙、涉及对象广泛，其破坏作用很值得重视。政府职能部门及图书出版、文化管理、纪检监察等部门需要从源头抓起，加大取缔打击力度，坚决遏制这一与社会主义精神文明建设、党风廉政建设背道而驰的腐败现象。
