英文歌曲是教材中十分宝贵的教学资源，但是很多英语教师在教学过程中可教可不教，这是不可取的。《义务教育英语课程标准》要求小学生要掌握一定数量的英文歌曲。英语课堂引入英语歌曲教学对提高教学效果有很大的帮助。这里提出几点做法：

一、英文歌曲营造愉快的氛围

小学生一听见优美或者熟悉的歌曲，注意力都会被吸引过来。日常英语教学和英语公开课学生的状态完全不一样，公开英语课时间比较靠前，学生状态挺好，而平时的英语课多数排在下午最后，学生的脑海里已经装满了前面好几节课的知识，这种状态对于教师上好英语课是一种极大的挑战，所以，英语课堂中应安排一两首英语歌曲，让孩子们振作一下，为整个学习过程打好积极的情感基础。

二、英文歌曲有助于记忆

有些知识点小学生学习起来比较枯燥，记不住，比如，月份、星期、时间等，英文歌曲可以改变原来枯燥的内容并使之好听易记。大多数教材都能在每个新授课后提供配套的歌曲，歌曲一般很好学，也很短，只有几十秒最多1分钟左右，如，《灵通少儿英语》、（闽教版）小学英语；但如果遇到没有配套的歌曲，教师可以试着自己编歌，把新学的词、句放入学生耳熟能详的曲子中，比如，“Merry Christmas” “Ten little Indian boys” “How old are you？” “What day is today”等歌曲，只要改动歌词就可以了。

三、英文歌曲可以辅助教学环节的实施

课前热身时可以把之前课文中学过的歌曲拿出来唱唱，温故的同时也活跃了课堂气氛；导入环节时可以巧妙地引出想要呈现的内容，比如，教学jobs时可以播放这首 “Peerless”英语歌曲，请学生听并找出歌曲当中的职业单词；教学animals/farm时就让学生听 “Old Macdanold has a farm.”歌曲中有人物和地点，教师就顺着歌曲中的语境，启发学生，层层深入。教“春节”时，在导入环节（猜节日）时可以播放春节的传统音乐来导入主题，学生一听就会猜出是春节；课堂练习环节（特别是公开课时），师生之间没有言语互动，教师可以播放音乐，保持师生和听课者有较高的状态。课堂即将结束前，教师可以组织小学生唱与本节课内容密切相关的歌曲，让学生在愉快的歌曲中不知不觉地复习了一遍刚学过的知识点。

四、歌曲可以增进师生间的互动

教师和学生一起唱歌，一起手舞足蹈，唱英语歌曲可以让老师显得更有亲和力。唱的方式根据歌曲的内容而有所不同，可以是全班一起跟着唱，可以是教师唱一句，学生接下去唱，双方轮流唱。有些英语歌曲是对话形式的，有问句和答句，教师可以唱问句，然后全班唱答句，又或者教师走到谁的座位旁边就请谁唱答句，这么做很有意思，同时又能让小学生更深入地了解英语的语言交际功能。

五、英语歌曲可以作为学生表现好的礼物

如果学生今天上课表现好的话，教师就可以唱一首英文歌给他们听作为奖励。在正式唱歌之前，教师可以先让小学生放松地伏在桌面上，然后闭上眼睛听老师唱英语歌，整个过程教室会非常安静，每个孩子都在用心聆听英语歌曲，课堂非常融洽。

教师在运用英语歌曲进行教学时应注意：

1.所学歌曲应符合小学生认知水平

有些歌曲虽然好听，但学生却不太容易学下来，学了几次还是唱不好，这样会打击他们的学习自信心。学唱英文歌曲的目的是让学生能够快乐地学习语言知识，在唱中学，在学中唱，所以曲子不仅要好听还要容易学，富有童真和童趣，这样学生才会在一种没有任何压力的情况下学唱英文歌曲。

2.老师要和学生一起唱

老师要多设计一些形式以帮助学生更好地理解歌曲的意思。老师千万不能领起歌曲，然后让学生自己去跟着唱，自己在一旁看着，这样的话，老师没劲，学生也没劲。

The Spring Festival is the most important festival for the Chinese people and is when all family members get together, just like Christmas in the West.
