英文自荐信应如何写好

这是我生平第一次写自荐信,还不是中文,直接跳到英文!虽然平时英文还可以,可是顶多写写贺卡,明信片什么的.一边写着,我一边想着这么写合不合文法,会不会是CHINGLISH,自个儿还明白,别人看了就不知道是怎么回事,对我的第一映象就不好,搞不好申请都受阻呢,那我可得郁闷了!

中国的教育制度真是有问题,学了那么多年英语,居然很多普通名词都不会,而学到的东西根本不实用,只是为了单纯应付考试,成绩高并非代表能力一样强,社会竞争力弱.

我身边就有这么一例.从清华毕业的高才生,自信满满,被推荐去瑞士日内瓦一企业应聘,中国清华园也如美国哈佛,马省,耶鲁,英国剑桥同样让世人皆知.因此企业方直接给了他实习机会.可结果却出乎意料,国外方将他解雇了,把他退回国内,并直截了当的给出理由:完全没有能力,不能为其企业创造价值.

当然成功的肯定会有,可是失败的还是那么多.中国在不断发展,前进,甚至将来希望步入世界经济发达强国之列,难道教育制度还能停留在不重能力的落后阶段,单单培养些高分学生吗?中国的人才流失,有较大部分就是因为教育制度的缺陷.

中国为什么不参考一下外国的先进教学理念和制度呢,这样起码学生的学习兴趣会更浓些,学的会更快乐些,说不定就能起到事半功倍的效果.Sample Text

求职信 的第一段说明写信的目的,有些专家认为不宜用分词子句。如用下面的句子做开头,因为这样的句子被人用得大多,显得陈腐,失去特点。

求职信 要发挥最大的效果,语气必须肯定、自信、有创意而不过分夸张,如能事先了解雇主的喜好,或其他人格特点,根据物以类聚的原理,求职信如果能迎合雇主的特点,求职的人一定可以比其他人占上风,获得面谈的机会。

注意下面句子中语气的不同:

A:I think that I should probably make a good ***** for you. 我想我可能成为贵公司的优秀的员工。

第一句显得语气太弱,写信的人有点羞怯的样子。第二句有特殊风格,第三句太过自信,第四句,作者表示谦虚。

公司的老板大多认为,注重小节的人对重大的事务也会谨慎行事。一个人做人做事是否谨慎可以从一封求职信中看出来。别看轻了短短一封信,一封求职信可以显露出一个人的嗜好、鉴别力、教育程度以及人格特性。下列几个要点便是泄露一个人秘密的地方。因此,写信的人一定要留意。

A.纸张的选用:最好使用品质优良,白色的信纸。信封要配合信纸的颜色。

B.书写:求职者一般是把求职信打印出来,并加亲笔签名。签名时字体要写得庄重得体,龙飞凤舞的字迹无疑是自寻绝路。

C.格式:正文要适当地排列在信纸中,格式要全文一致,不要中途改变。

D.语法、标点和拼写:正确无误的语法、标点和拼写使读信人感到舒畅,错误的语法或拼写则十分明显,一望即知,给人留下不好的印象。尤其要注意的是,绝不可把收信人的姓名或公司名称拼错了。

E.信封:信封上面的地址要完整,称谓要合时宜,信纸的折叠要适当,大小适合信封。

F.附件:求职信通常不须附加推荐信,除非招聘时有要求。遇到这种情形,只须附上复印件即可。另外,求职信内附加邮票或贴好邮票写好地址的回邮信封,强迫对方答覆的作法不宜使用,除非对方有此要求。

需要思考的地方

写求职信需要留意几个方面:

A.陈述事实,避免表示意见:与工作经验有关的事实可以陈述出来,但不应强调将给未来工作带来怎样的好处。

B.不要批评他人:如果你要离开现职,可以说出原因但不要用批评的方式,雇主想要了解你,而非你的工作体会。

C.不要过分渲染自我:你当然认为有能力,够资格才要申请某一职位,但不要过分夸大自己的能力或表现过分的信心,尤其不要说出与事实不符的能力来。

D.留意底薪:有的雇主要你提到希望的待遇。你要作准确的判断,写出你觉得可行的最低薪金。很多人应该知道,与其寻得一份高薪的工作倒不如找待遇尚可而有升迁机会的工作。

摘要:在英语教学中,英语教师面对新形势新任务应具备的素养是:过硬的英语语言基本功,广博的知识储备,灵活的教学技巧,丰厚的母语积累,更新知识和创新科研,以人为本的教学观,新的教学模式,兼收并蓄的教学法和良好的师德。

2l世纪的英语教育面对的是高素质、复合型专门人才培养的新目标。对于从事英语教学的教师们来说,这既是一种机遇,也是一种挑战。如何与时俱进,培养和完善自身素养,以胜任新时期赋予的新任务是他们经常思考的一个问题。作为一名英语教师,笔者通过自己的实际教学体验,深深认识到英语教师具备如下素养的必要性。

一、语言准确,流利

准确流利的语言表达是英语教师扎实的语言基本功的最直接表现。教师应该保证让学生在学习英语的第一时间接触到正确的语言形式。suit(诉讼)与suite(套房)形音似、意不同;作为名词的bear(熊)与作为动词的bear(忍受)形、声相同而意不同;dear(亲爱的人)与deer(鹿)声同而形、意不同; bow(弓)与bow(鞠躬)形同而声、意不同。英语词汇中类似容易混淆的例子随处可见。很难想象没有正确的语音和拼写做先导,会有听、说、读、写、译等各种英语语言技能的顺利发展。因此教师要不厌其烦地监督、验证自己语言的准确性,做到锱铢必较,及时纠正自己语言上的错误。这在语言教学的积累阶段尤为重要,再怎么强调也不为过。老师的语言不准确,学生的语言必错无疑,以讹传讹,后患无穷。

英语教师的口语表达要力求流利。准确的语言形式加上流利的口语表达能使学生对英语语言美产生感性认识。教师流利的语言示范无形中会激发学生的学习兴趣和热情。他们会由最初的羡慕、赞叹到跃跃欲试。语言准确流利的教师是学生学习语言的楷模,同时能给学生增添一定能学好的信心。

二、知识“杂”而有章

面对知识面日益广泛的学生,教师必须要做好充足的知识储备,才能满足个性化自主学习的需求。因此教师除掌握本学科专业知识之外,还应掌握与教育教学有关的广泛知识。作为英语教师,不仅要熟知英语国家的人文背景知识,还要了解语言学理论,对心理学、教育学理论也应有所了解,对自然科学、社会科学的相关知识以及人生哲学、社会生活规范等等都要尽可能的涉猎。这就要求我们要具备交叉学科的学习能力,有意识地培养自己的综合文化素养。因此教师要养成一辈子多读书,读好书,读杂书的习惯。“杂”,既要博览,又要熔各种知识于一炉而为“我”所用。若能把所学知识融会贯通,那么就会“杂”而有章了。所谓“采百家之说,成一家之言”就是这个道理。

三、具备弹性态度

弹性态度是指对教学技巧的灵活运用。有人主张学习外语一定要摆脱母语的影响,因此提倡课堂教学一律使用目的语。这种做法固然好:最大限度的提供了语言输入,培养用目的语思维的习惯等等。但矫枉未必过正。面对英语中的抽象概念、抽象词汇和术语,与其费劲劳神地用目的语解释使学生如堕五里雾中,不如直截了当地使用汉语来得事半功倍。我们的课堂教学提倡使用目的语,但同时不要忘记发挥母语在教学中的辅助作用。要善于在目的语与母语中寻找一种平衡,避免在目的语的使用上达到荒谬的地步。语言教学贵在教懂,只有深深理解的东西,记忆才最牢固,使用才最自由。

对待学生的语言错误,教师也要具体情况具体分析。在英语学习的积累阶段,教师要做到教“死”,即对英语的语音、语法、拼写要严格把关,对错误要善于发现,及时纠正,一丝不苟。当英语学习由积累阶段过渡到实践阶段,比如用英语进行口语交际时,如语言错误影响到交际目的的实施,或影响到交际一方的感受时,教师就要即时指出并改正。如错误没有影响到交际目的,就要抱以宽容的态度,甚至可以忽略不计。

四、注重母语学习

英语教师不仅要具备精深的专业知识,还要有较高的汉语语言文化修养。汉语是世界上最丰富的语言之一。良好的母语功底对英语的学习是一种优势。比如,英语中的谚语语言精练,寓意深刻,与汉语有许多相通之处,这也表明了中西文化的近似性。汉语语言基础扎实,才能把诸如One cannot make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear(巧妇难为无米之炊);Fish begins to stink at the head(上梁不正下梁歪);Little strokes fell great oaks。(水滴石穿);Rolling stone gathers no moss(流水不腐,户枢不蠹)这样的谚语翻译得恰当,自然,朗朗上口。只有掌握好汉语,才能感悟和把握中西文化在语言表达层面的相通性,才能在汉英两种语言的互译中游刃有余,才会趋于翻译的最高境界“信”、“达”、“雅”。而且只有多了解自己民族的悠久历史、灿烂文化,风土人情,才能更好地进行中西文化对比和跨文化交际的学习和教学。语言是文化的载体,亦是传播文化的桥梁。英语是工具,学习英语的最终目的是交际。通过英语我们可以了解外国先进的科学、文化、技术,通过英语我们同样可以让世界了解中国和中国文化。因此,积累母语文化底蕴,传播、弘扬民族文化应是每个英语教师的责任。英语教师丰厚的母语知识和文化底蕴不仅便于教学,而且能激发学生的爱国情怀,珍视祖国的语言和文化,摒弃盲目的崇洋媚外。学好外语,做好中国人。这也是将素质教育贯穿于英语教学的一个方面。

五、富有进取精神

英语教师的进取精神体现在自我知识的不断更新和坚持不懈的科研探索上。语言是随着社会的发展不断地发展变化的。词汇的新旧更迭是必然趋势。英语教师要善于捕捉与社会生活息息相关的新的语言现象及英文表达和用法,通过各种渠道不断地吸纳新词,充实更新现有的知识结构。例如sizism和lookism两词是对胖人和丑人的歧视性说法, kidult一词是指“小大人”,SARS和bird flu是“非典”和“禽流感”。英语教师要经常阅读英文报刊,关心时事,使自己的语言与社会生活不脱节,真正实现语言的实用价值。

教师不仅承担着传承文化,传播知识的责任,还承担着繁荣学术,弘扬科学的重任。作为英语教师也要不间断的搞科研创新。如及时了解和掌握本学科领域的发展趋势;密切跟踪国内外研究现状;就本学科领域的理论提出新的见解和观点;从新的视角,用新的方法,重新分析某种语言现象等等。是否具有科研能力是教师是否具有自我学习能力的一个反映。科研的过程是教师学术能力提升的过程,是提高教学质量的必要途径。教师要学会用科研方法武装自己,以科学的方法去了解、处理教学中存在的实际问题,有意识地提高自己的科研能力,把研究水平由经验总结提高到科学推断。

六、人文主义教学观

第二语言课堂不同于母语习得的自然环境,真正意义上的学习既是认知过程,也涉及情感因素。第二语言习得中的个体差异最主要的根源就是情感因素。老师要理解学生在学习另一种诺吉时的心理,表明自己对学生的认同。只有理解学生的恐侠,体谅他们,老师才能帮助学生克服焦虑感,使它转化为有用的能量来促进学习。课堂教学是师生互动的交流过程,它们之间交流的不仅是知识,还有情感、态度、价值观等。因此发展融洽、和谐的师生关系,营造轻松、合作的课堂氛围是关键。在教学上,教师不仅要考虑学生的智力因素,还要顾及学生的心理要求,尊重学生的人格,要富有同情心,把学生当成一个完整的人来对待。人文主义教学能给予学生更多安全感,减少学生心理障碍,增强目信心,使其全身心地投入到学习中去。

七、适应新的教学模式

随着英语教改的实施,课堂教学重点由获取语言知识转变为培养学生的交际能力上来。教学主体由教师为中心转变为以学生为中心的师生互动上来。英语教学将充分利用现代化信息技术,在吸收和继承传统教学优势的基础上,将单纯依靠课本、粉笔、黑板、老师讲、学生听的教学方式,改变为计算机、教学软件、课堂教学三位一体、综合运用的个性化、主动学习的方式。课堂教学与多媒体和校园网相结合的英语教学新模式正在创建。随着分级教学的积极推进,教学内容和课程体系需要不断调整和优化。教师要根据不同层次学生的需求给予不同的教学指导和训练,网络环境下的互助学习是必然趋势。因此英语教师要及时改变传统的教学观念,要善于转换角色,了解和掌握现代化的信息技术,提高多媒体和网络的运用能力,尽快适应新的教学模式。

八、博采众长的教学法

教必有法,教无定法。英语教学方法从传统的语法翻译法到交际教学法,林林总总。中国的英语教师和研究工作者们也在长期的探索中总结出了诸如“十字”教学法,双重活动教学法,整体教学法,立体化教学法,英语语感教学法等等。到底哪一种最佳呢?事实证明没有哪一种方法能在一切时候符合一切学习者的要求。教法的选择要因文而异,因学生而异,因教师而异,因环境而异。因此教师在选择和运用教学法时,要注重相互渗透,相互补充,兼收并蓄,博采众长。教学艺术的高低,正是表现在对这些方法综合运用时所具有的准确性和灵活性上。

九、德学双馨,师德为本

博学为师,德高为范。教育的过程不仅是传授知识的过程,也是学生学习做人的过程。品德高尚的教师才能教出品德高尚的学生。师德应是一切教师素质的核心。失掉了师德,一切都成了无源之水,无本之木。教师首先要自我负责,要知道自己该做什么,能做什么,对自己抱有高期望值,不仅要做“完整型”、“全能型”教师,还要做“成就型”教师。其次,教师要对学生负责。不仅要关心他们的学习,还要关注他们的心理健康,不仅要注重智力开发,也要着眼情商的培养,真正实现“整个人”的教育。维护学生自尊心,保护个人隐私。第三,教师之间要团结协作,建立融洽的同事关系,有责任和义务共同维护教师的整体形象,避免在学生面前诋毁其他教师的言行。第四,教师在学术研究上要互相交流,杜绝“知识封锁”,尊重知识产权。
