论文题目：从信息论的角度看英语商务信函汉译中的冗余处理
摘要：随着经济全球化的深入,越来越多企业、部门直接参与国际贸易,国内外的商务沟通越来越频繁,这使得商务英语函电成为贸易双方传递信息、沟通业务、加强联系的重要手段。商务函电的内容及其翻译直接影响业务往来双方是否决定继续商业活动,以及双方的经济效益。因此,如何提高商务英语信函翻译的质量,准确的传递英语商务信函中的信息,成为商务英语翻译领域的一个重要课题。 信息理论是研究信息传输和信息处理过程的理论。自创立以来,已被应用于多个领域,其中包括翻译理论与实践的研究。信息理论中的传输负载、信道容量、噪音、冗余等概念被用来解释翻译这一复杂的交际过程。商务信函是一种重要的国际商务交往方式,属于信息型文本,信息理论适用于指导商务信函翻译的研究。商务英语信函翻译与其它应用型文本翻译有着相通之处,但商务信函文本有其本身固有的特点,如用词简洁、语义明确、行文严谨、措辞委婉等,使得商务信函翻译在翻译标准、翻译策略等方面与其他应用型文本有所不同。笔者运用信息理论中的冗余信息理论,结合大量英语商务信函实例,对商务信函的语言特点,如词汇、句法、风格等方面进行分析。通过研究,笔者总结了英语商务信函汉译过程中导致冗余不平衡的五个因素：1)用词习惯差异；2)句法差异：3)格式差异；4)风格差异；5)文化差异。研究发现,在进行英语商务信函汉译时,应以准确传递原文信息为第一标准,包括语义信息和语用信息的准确传递,译者在翻译的过程中,应利用重复、重组、增译、省译等翻译策略对英语商务信函中的冗余进行处理,确保英语商务信函原文的信息在翻译过程中得到准确传递。 笔者希望从信息理论的角度对商务信函的翻译进行研究,表明信息理论适用于商务信函翻译的研究,进一步拓展信息理论的运用领域,进而指导英语商务信函汉译实践。
