As a developing country, China is confronted with the dual task of developing its economy and protecting its environment. However, as a country with a large population, relative insufficiency of natural resources and an expanding economy, China suffers an increasingly significant disparity between economic development and natural resources and the environment. The serious environmental problem caused by severe pollution, deteriorating ecological conditions, huge consumption of resources and low reclamation has already become a bottleneck for the sustainable development of the Chinese economy.
Proceeding from its actual conditions, China has, in the process of promoting its overall modernization program, made environmental protection one of its basic state policies, regarded the realization of sustained economic development as an important strategy and meanwhile, carried out nationwide campaigns for pollution prevention and treatment as well as environment and ecology conservation, the conditions of environmental degradation have been controlled fundamentally. Practice shows that our practice of coordinating the relationship between economic development and environmental protection is effective. Only if man makes reasonable use of nature and keeps and harmonious relationship with it in the process of development can the civilization created by him be maintained and developed, and can he share subsistence and glory with nature and develop with nature in a coordinating way. In this picture there is a very symbolic display of love and how powerful and important it is. The picture shows a lamp all alone in a dark place. However, there is a glorious bright light coming from it. It means that the darker life becomes, the brighter love will shine. In other words, love can conquer all. The message of this picture is very true. There was a time in my parents, life when their love was tested. Everything around them seemed to go wrong. My mother was sick, and my dad was losing his job. It was very difficult to survive and have money for food and shelter. However, we had each other, and through this love my mother’s health improved and my dad got an even better job. True love is the glue that can hold everything together, or the bright light in the middle of the darkness. There are many ways that people express their love, such as saying it, buying nice things, and showing it through affection and support. I think the best way to express love is by showing it with your actions. This means to be physically kind and gentle while supporting the other person mentally and emotionally. In this way you will always be the light in their darkness and if it is true love, they will in return do the same for you.

The meaning of the picture is that love brightens every dark place. The darker the place, the brighter love will shine. This means literally that in a situation where there is great cruelty, pain, hurt and suffering, love will be more obvious because it is so opposite of the conditions of the situation. One situation that could be relevant is orphans in Africa. Many of these orphans once had parents, but they died of AIDS. These orphans may have AIDS too, and they do not have long to live. Their lives are dark, painful, hopeless and full of suffering. Imagine the impact, then, of a group of people coming to take care of the children, love them and give them a home. In this vivid picture, an oil lamp with a happy smile twinkles in the dark. Around it is the caption reading “Love is similar to a light shining brighter in the dark”. The picture means that love is considered more precious in more difficult situations and more needed by those who are in urgent need of help. Only when love is offered to the people in greater need, can it better achieve its value. I can exemplify this conclusion with the Poverty Alleviation Project.
