屈原是战国时期的楚国人，很有学问。他是一位大夫，一直以来都受到了当时楚王的重用，一心想要使自己的国家富强起来。可是后来的昏君楚王却听信了奸臣的慌话，把屈原削职流放。在流放过程中，屈原听说楚国的都城都已经被敌人占领了，百姓遭难，十分悲愤。于是我就在五月初五这一天，屈原来到汨罗江边，怀抱一块石头，带着自己对国家的爱纵身跳入汨罗江中。楚国的百姓听到了屈原投江的消息后，都非常悲痛，楚王得知了这一消息，也终于醒悟过来，可为时已晚，我们伟大的屈原早已跳江几个时辰了，等到百姓们去捞屈原的尸体时，就什么都没有了，于是他们便划着船把食物仍进河中，希望鱼蛟虾蟹吃饱了，不要再去吃屈原遗体。
